ABOUT RICHARD
Planning Manager
Richard is a proactive Regional Planning Manager with extensive experience in the construction industry. He has successfully managed the planning function on complex infrastructure schemes in high pressure environments. He is focused on providing a coherent, robust plan, aligned to the project strategy and has experience of management on highways and infrastructure projects from start to finish.
Richard has worked on projects valued at up to £300m, and has over 20 years industry experience. These projects have included a number of major highways schemes of national importance. Richard’s responsibilities included the development, monitoring and reporting of contract programmes, and the management of a team of planners to optimise programme for efficiencies in time and cost. Richard also has a knowledge of Primavera P6 and Synchro 4D programmes.
Trusted to deliver the planning and scheduling requirements of a project, Richard strives to ensure planning team integration within the broader project team. Richard’s strengths lie in strategic planning, project controls, providing planning support for peer reviews, quantitative schedule risk analysis, deep dive audits and Clause 62 programmes. He has also been tasked with mentoring Engineers with planning best practice. Over the course of his career Richard has been a champion of the collaborative planning approach with a focus on Continuous Improvement.
