Planning Manager
With extensive experience in both PMO and project-level planning, Kim has demonstrated his proactive approach on high profile projects in highways, rail, and water environments, with a focus on NEC and JCT contracts. He is a risk-aware, analytical planner who performs successfully as the guardian of our clients’ schedules.
Kim is a Primavera specialist with extensive knowledge of a range of best practice tools including Microsoft Project, Asta, QSRA, and Pertmaster. On all of his projects, he uses these tools to create a standardised reporting regime across the programme. This allows him to provide more accurate benchmarking and estimating, and shorter update times, creating more time for data analysis of forecasting and enabling better mitigation of potential delays.
Kim has played a significant role on projects in the range of £36m to £6b. For clients such as Highways England (HE), Jaguar Land Rover and London Underground, Kim consistently monitored programmes, highlighting areas of potential concern through early warnings, and identifying trends and possible mitigation, ultimately ensuring that both programme and project schedules were closely adhered to.
Kim’s versatility allows him to tailor his approach to client requirements and system preferences. His flexibility is underpinned by a collaborative working style which will ensure he integrates effectively with the programme and project team to optimise the programme where possible. This skillset was clearly demonstrated on the Programme Delivery Partner commission for HE where Kim was charged with enhancing the planning capability of the HE team.
